Explanation of procedures for the non-invasive investigation of buildings for possible mould contamination

The investigation of mould contamination in buildings is best carried out in stages, to avoid unnecessary costs. Initial procedures are called “non-invasive” because, during the course of the inspection, no part of the building structure, fixtures or fittings are removed or otherwise interfered with. In many cases, sufficient information can be obtained from a non-invasive investigation. In other cases, access to cavities and confined spaces may be necessary to make a full determination.
